The Tire Pressure Monitor monitors the tire pressure and issues a warning if the tire pressure has dropped. The sensors in the tire valves measure the tire pressure and tire temperature. Depending on the tires detected or entered, the system displays the specified nominal pressures on the Interaction Unit and compares these with the current tire pressures.
The Tire Pressure Monitor does not activate until after driving for a few minutes:
– After a tire or wheel change.
– After a reset, when using tires with special approval.
– After changing tire settings.
– When using tires with special approval, note the following:
– After a tire or wheel change, a reset was performed with the correct tire inflation pressure.
– After the tire inflation pressure was adjusted to a new value, a reset was performed.
– Wheels with tire pressure sensors are mounted.
