What are the advantages of the Tire Pressure Monitor in my MINI?

The Tire Pressure Monitor monitors the tire pressure and issues a warning if the tire pressure has dropped. The sensors in the tire valves measure the tire pressure and tire temperature. Depending on the tires detected or entered, the system displays the specified nominal pressures on the Interaction Unit and compares these with the current tire pressures.  When using tires not found in the tire inflation pressure specifications on the vehicle, e.g., tires with special approval, the Tire Pressure Monitor must be actively reset. The system will then take over the actual tire inflation pressures as the target pressures.
