How do I activate or deactivate deep sleep mode in my MINI with Operating System 9?

Deep sleep mode in your MINI with MINI Operating System 9 is an energy-optimized mode that conserves the vehicle battery and allows you to park for longer. To activate deep sleep mode in your MINI, select the following in the MINI system: 

 

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle"
  3. "System settings"
  4. "Deep sleep mode"
  5. Select the desired setting.

 

You can activate deep sleep mode with or without anti-theft alarm system and confirm your settings. By deactivating the anti-theft alarm system, you can further increase the possible stationary period. Deep sleep mode deactivates automatically when drive-ready state is turned on.

Please note: If you are unable to turn on the vehicle, press the button on the cargo area to access the vehicle while in deep sleep mode.  

 

Deep sleep mode is available for MINI models with MINI Operating System 9 and software version from 07/2025.
