Which download settings does MINI recommend for downloading a Remote Software Upgrade via the MINI App on my smartphone?

To download a MINI Remote Software Upgrade to your smartphone via the MINI App, MINI recommends keeping the default settings "Download automatically" and "Download via Wi-Fi only". Software upgrades for your MINI can be 1 - 2 GB in size. Depending on your data account, downloading via the mobile communications network can therefore incur considerable costs. To change the settings, select the following in the MINI App:

  1.  "Check status" ("Vehicle" tab)
  2. "Remote Software Upgrade" ("Software" section)
  3. "Software update settings".
