How do I know if I can use the MINI Remote Software Upgrade?

Whether your vehicle is eligible for the MINI Remote Software Upgrade depends on the hardware installed in your vehicle. All vehicles with MINI Operating System 9 are capable.

You can determine whether this applies for your vehicle by selecting the following in the vehicle menu:

 

  1.  Apps menu
  2. "System settings" 
  3. "Remote Software Upgrade". 
  4. If "Remote Software Upgrade" is displayed, you can use this function.
