What are the MINI Experience Modes?

In addition to MINI Modes, there are also MINI Experience Modes. MINI Experience Modes are not used to adjust vehicle handling, but rather affect only the interior environment and to customize the lighting effects in the interior, for example.

 

The following modes do not alter the car's driving characteristics but modify the interior environment:

  • Vivid Mode: Provides direct access to the media player. The MINI Interaction Unit and ambient lighting adapt to the most prominent color of the album cover.
  • Timeless Mode: Offers direct access to the speedometer featuring a retro design.
  • Balance Mode: Features subtle and restrained colors and animations. It also allows the sun protection to be set in a permanently closed position.
  • Personal Mode: Enables direct access to personal picture uploads. Users can select preset images from MINI or upload personalized background images via the MINI app. It also supports automatic or manual color adaptation of ambient lighting, including the projector.
  • Trail Mode: Exclusive to off-road driving, providing full control with a compass and displays for longitudinal and lateral vehicle inclinations.
