The Digital Key Plus Service Card can be stored in the vehicle in its deactivated state and activated as needed when valet parking, during service visits, in the event of a tow, or other temporary vehicle use. It must always be deactivated after use.
ACTIVATION
- To activate the service card, place it in the MINI’s wireless charging tray.
- When a pop-up appears on the vehicle’s display, select “Activate Card.” Alternatively, navigate to: “Home” > “Keys” > “Digital Key” > “Activate Key.”
DEACTIVATION
Before returning the Service Card to storage, it must be deactivated.
- To deactivate, place the card in the wireless charging tray.
- On the vehicle’s display, select: “Home” > “Keys,” > “Deactivate Card.”
- Once deactivated, it can be safely stored in the vehicle.
