Can I start the engine of my MINI with Operating System 9 in the MINI App?

You can start the engine in the MINI App.

  • Open the MINI App
  • "Vehicle" tab
  • "Engine Start"

The engine start is used to pre-condition the interior for a maximum of 15 minutes before starting the trip. It is not possible to drive without the vehicle key or MINI Digital Key in the vehicle interior. 

 

Your MINI requires Operating System 9, the option "automatic climate control" and the "Remote Engine Start" function as a MINI Connected Upgrade in the MINI Connected Store. Only available for model variants with gasoline engine and automatic transmission. Cannot be combined with the option "pre-heating" Further information, available durations and prices for activating the "Remote Engine Start" function can be found in the MINI Connected Store.
