Can I control the temperature of the high-voltage battery in my MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9 using the MINI App?

The charging time of the high-voltage battery in your MINI electric vehicle with Operating System 9 depends, among other things, on the battery temperature. Depending on the model and equipment of your MINI electric vehicle, you can start battery preparation for faster DC charging in the MINI App via:

 

  • Press the "Vehicle" Tab
  • Select "Controls" (Remote access)
  • Select "Battery preconditioning"

This allows the vehicle to achieve optimum charging power and reduce the charging time at a DC charging station.

The Remote Service "Prepare battery" is available for all-electric MINI models with MINI Operating System 9 and a software version from 07/2024.
