Can I use MINI Connected Services and apps in my MINI even if I don't have the MINI App installed on my smartphone?

Yes. You can use all MINI Connected Services and apps relevant to driving, such as MINI Maps, Advanced Real Time Traffic Information or the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant in your MINI without restrictions, even without the MINI App on your smartphone. To use the full personalized range of functions, you must log in to your MINI with your MINI ID. Your personal settings and data are securely stored in the MINI Cloud and synchronized with the MINI App. The MINI App keeps you informed about the vehicle status at all times, helps you plan your next trip and enables you to carry out various functions remotely, such as unlocking or locking the doors. To use the MINI Digital Key on your smartphone, you need the MINI App. You can manage your personal data and payment methods in the MINI App for purchases in the MINI Connected Store in the vehicle or for automatic parking payments. The MINI App informs you of vehicle statuses or states of charge that require your attention via a notification on your smartphone.
