How do I add several users to my MINI in the MINI App and what functions do primary and secondary users have?

Depending on the model and equipment, one or more users can add the same vehicle via their respective MINI ID in the MINI App (multimapping).

The first MINI ID used to add a vehicle in the app is automatically designated as the primary user. Additional users can be invited as secondary users and will have a limited range of functions.

As the primary user, you can conveniently manage all secondary users in the MINI App by proceeding as follows:
  1. Select the "Vehicle" tab.
  2. Go to "Vehicle configuration" under "Vehicle control center" header
  3. Open "User management".

Here you can view, add, or delete secondary users.

For vehicles with MINI Operating System 9, other users simply log onto the vehicle with their MINI ID and scan the displayed QR code with the MINI App. The link is established automatically.

Important note:
For MINI vehicles with MINI Controller and MINI operating system with tile menu (ID6), only one MINI ID can be linked to the vehicle in the MINI App. Multimapping is not possible in this case.
