What is GAP protection?

If your MINI is stolen or declared a total loss in an accident, there might be a difference between the amount your insurance company pays and the amount owed on your lease or loan. The GAP protection would cover the difference (minus your insurance deductible, the disposition fee, and all past due amounts you may owe). This is known as "GAP Protection" and is included in all MINI Financial Services leases. This is an option on loans financed with MINI Financial Services. To verify coverage, review your original dealer paperwork or contact your originating MINI Dealer.
