How do I set up MINI Digital Key Plus for my MINI with Operating System 9?

You must have both keys present in the vehicle to create the "main key." To create the main key, confirm that you are logged into the MINI App and have added your vehicle to your MINI ID. If your vehicle is compatible, you will see a “MINI Digital Key Plus” tile.  

 

  • Open the MINI App.
  • "Vehicle" tab on the bottom.
  • "Set up Digital Key Plus" 
  • "Set up Digital Key"
  • "Continue"
  • Check the white tick box that says "I am inside my vehicle with both of the vehicle's keys."
  • When you are ready to pair, select "Start pairing"
  • Follow further instructions on your device.
