How do I use the Remote Control Parking in my MINI?

For vehicles with MINI Operating System 9 and equipped with the MINI Parking Assistant Professional, with Remote Control Parking, you can park your MINI while standing outside using the MINI App on your phone. Make sure MINI Digital Key Plus is active on your mobile device, and Bluetooth needs to be on. 

 

  1. Press the Parking Assistant Button in the center console to jump into Parking View. 
  2. The display will suggest parking spaces and maneuvers for you. Take your pick and tap on the control display to unleash the Automatic Parking Assistant.
  3. Press the brake, engage the parking brake
  4. Tap "Parking with MINI App" and step out of the car.
  5. Open the MINI App and tap remote control parking. You can pick your parking maneuver and the direction right there.
  6. To confirm you're in control, tilt your phone forward and back to match the targets on the screen.
  7. Press and hold the blue parking button.
  8. Release the blue button anytime and your MINI stops. Press and hold again to keep going. The app will let you know when your MINI nails the perfect parking position.
  9. Tap finish, turn off your MINI and lock it up.
