Can I access all Tesla charging stations with my MINI?

Not all Tesla Supercharger stations are compatible with non-Tesla vehicles. Tesla has three types of Superchargers:

  • NACS Superchargers: Require a compatible NACS adapter for MINI vehicles with CCS ports.
  • Magic Dock Superchargers: Equipped with CCS ports, allowing direct charging for MINI vehicles without adapters once integrated.
  • Tesla-only Superchargers: Older or restricted stations that only support Tesla vehicles.

Not sure if a Tesla Supercharger is compatible? Your vehicle’s navigation map and the MINI App will show which Tesla stations are accessible to you, including whether an adapter is necessary. If you are in front of a Tesla Supercharger that does not show up in your app or navigation, it is a Tesla only site.
