What are the requirements for MINI Digital Key?

MINI Digital Key Plus is available for MINI vehicles with MINI Operating System 9, except the MINI Convertible. The MINI Convertible gets only MINI Digital Key. Comfort Access Keyless Entry is a prerequisite for this feature.  The Digital Key feature will be active and available for setup and usage for as long as MINI supports it. 

 

Listed below are smartphone requirements for MINI Digital Key and MINI Digital Key Plus:

iPhone:  MINI Digital Key is compatible with iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or later and Apple Watch Series 5 or later running on at least iOS 13.6 and watchOS 6.2.8 or later. MINI Digital Key Plus is compatible with iPhone 11 and later devices, and Apple Watch Series 6 or later. Running on software iOS 15 or later for iPhone, and watchOS 8 or later for Apple Watch. Google Pixel:  MINI Digital Key is compatible with Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro running on Android™ 12 or later.

Samsung Galaxy:  MINI Digital Key is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra running on Android 12 or later.
