Does Apple CarPlay use the mobile data of my iPhone in my MINI with MINI Operating System 9?

With Apple CarPlay, you can use the apps of your iPhone in your MINI via the mobile data of your iPhone's SIM card or via the personal hotspot. The personal hotspot is available for MINI models with MINI Operating System 9 with the option "Personal eSIM".
