What benefits does Apple CarPlay offer in my MINI with a MINI Controller?

Apple CarPlay seamlessly integrates your iPhone® to your MINI. Messages, calls, Apple Maps® and music are shown on the center display just as they appear on your iPhone. 

 

With CarPlay Compatibility:

Siri acts as your traveling co-pilot while driving in your MINI by helping with things like sending messages, placing calls and making dinner reservations all while being hands-free,

Apps already available on your iPhone like Podcasts®, Audiobooks, and much more are supported,

Access to all of your content from iTunes® or your audio apps using your MINI's built-in controls is also possible, and

CarPlay works wirelessly with your iPhone and your MINI

Note: When available as part of package, this service may only be purchased as either a standalone or part of a package, but not both. CarPlay may be displayed either half or full screen, depending on the hardware installed.
