How do I activate the Google Assistant in my MINI with MINI Operating System 9?

Android Auto makes it possible to operate select functions of a compatible smartphone via Google Assistant voice control and via the Interaction Unit. Configure Google Assistant voice control for the button:

  1. Press and hold the voice control button on the steering wheel until the Google Assistant voice control is activated on your smartphone.
  2. Say the commands familiar from the smartphone.
