What benefits does Android Auto offer in my MINI?

Android Auto makes it possible to operate select functions of a compatible smartphone via Google Assistant voice control and via the Interaction Unit. The smartphone provides Android Auto and any associated apps.

 

Pairing a smartphone with Android Auto:

In vehicles equipped with MINI Operating System 9, for Android Auto, a smartphone can be paired with the vehicle via the Interaction Unit.

  1. Go through the menu as follows:
  2. Apps menu
  3. "All".
  4. Select the Android Auto option.
  5. Follow the instructions on the Interaction Unit.
