Can I use Android Auto in my MINI with Operating System 9?

Android Auto makes it possible to operate select functions of a compatible smartphone via Google Assistant voice control and via the Interaction Unit. 

To use Android Auto, the following functional requirements must be met:

– The smartphone meets the requirements for a wireless Android Auto connection. A Samsung or Google smartphone with Android 10 or higher. Any Android smartphone with Android 11 or higher.

– A corresponding mobile network contract for telephone and data services. 

– Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi and Google Assistant voice control are turned on the smartphone.

– If necessary, the setting for mobile data must be activated on the smartphone.

– The smartphone must support a Wi-Fi connection with 5 GHz.

– Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled in the vehicle.

– No smartphone is connected to Apple CarPlay.
